Shane Campbell

Shane Kanoa “Ah Chock” Campbell, 42, of Pahoa died Aug. 21, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Oct. 3, 1970, in Hilo, he was a former laborer.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. Sept. 19 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 7 p.m. service. Cremation follows. A committal service will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 21 at Homelani Memorial Park. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by daughters, Shorrina Lee, Tianna Campbell and Waioleka Campbell; son, Isaiah Francisco; sisters, Moira Richardson and Charmin Campbell; brothers, Jessie Campbell and Cavin Campbell; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Haruyo Yoshina

Haruyo “Hachan” Yoshina, 88, of Hilo died Aug. 29, 2013, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Jan. 3, 1925, in Kalaoa, Papaikou, she was a retired seamstress and member of Papaaloa Hongwanji Mission and Komohana Estates Association.

Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 19 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 10 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no monetary gifts or flowers.

She is survived by brothers, Seiji (Kimie) Aoki and Junichi Aoki, both of Kalaoa, Futoshi (Yukiko) Aoki of Hilo; numerous nieces and nephews.

Ernesto Remobles

Ernesto C. “Nestor” Remobles, 55, of Honokaa died Sept. 7, 2013, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born Jan. 14, 1958, in Cuyapo, Philippines, he was a laboratory analyst for Hamakua Sugar Co. and member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa.

Friends may call at 5 p.m Sept. 20 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa for a 7 p.m. rosary. Friends may call again at 8 a.m. Sept. 21 at the church for a 10 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn. Burial follows at Honokaa Catholic Church Cemetery. Flowers are welcome.

He is survived by wife, Wilma Remobles of Honokaa; daughters, Rowena Remobles and Vanessa Remobles, both of Honokaa; son, Mark Remobles of Honokaa; two grandchildren.

Eunice Soto

Eunice Yau Tai Soto, 95, of Honalo died Sept, 10, 2013, at Nakamaru Hale. Born Feb. 12, 1918, in Honolulu, she was a homemaker and member of Mililani Senior Citizens Club and St. John’s Apostle Evangelist Catholic Church.

Friends may call at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at Mililani Makai Chapel in Waipahu, Oahu, for a 6:30 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by sons, Edward (Leona) Soto Jr. of Mililani, Oahu, Eric (Judith) Soto of Kaneohe, Oahu; daughters, Mary Pacheco of Waipahu, Oahu, Linda (Will) Perkins of Mililani, Oahu, Gwendolyn (Melvin) Ormita of Kaneohe, Oahu, Angeline (Berne) Hal-Mann of Honalo; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Alvin Dias

Alvin Patrick Dias, 69, of Hilo died Sept. 6, 2013, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama facility. Born in Hilo, he was a retired electrician at Pearl Harbor Naval Base Yard and member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church of Papaikou.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Sept. 21 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaiko for a 10 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and flowers be omitted. An urn committal service will be held later at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific on Oahu.

He is survived by sister, Jodi (David) Ariyoshi of Hilo; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; three nephews.

Raymond Ito

Raymond “Ray” Mitsuyoshi Ito, 74, of Hilo died Sept. 7, 2013, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born June 21, 1939, in Pahala, he was the retired owner of Shade House Hawaii, an Army veteran, former Waiakea Uka Little League coach, former Waiakea Uka Kumiai president, former Little League tournament official and member of Orchid Isle Umpires Association, East Hawaii Kiwanis Little League, Waiakea Uka Golf Club and Big Island Aquarium Society.

Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 21 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 10:30 a.m. service. Cremation follows. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Romana Ito of Hilo; son, Lorne Ito of Hilo; daughter, Joy (Ronald Carver) Ito-Carver of Hilo; brother, Donald (Kay) Ito of San Jose, Calif.; sister, Charlotte (Rex) Yamasaki of Hilo; two grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Yoshio “Bobby” Iwamoto, 86, of Honokaa died Aug. 21, 2013, at his residence. Born in Haina, Honokaa, he was a retired boiler house superintendent for the former Honokaa Sugar Co., member of Honokaa Methodist Church and president of the board of directors for North Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union.

Friends may call at 3 p.m. Sept. 21 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 4:30 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn.
